QOREX brings over 12-years upstream oil and gas experience in design, engineering and installation of fully integrated systems-level fiber optic sensor products deployed in harsh environments- from high temperature, hydrogen-rich thermal recovery and deepwater oil and gas wells, to challenging nuclear radiation environments encountered in space and weapons platforms. QOREX is focused first and foremost on system performance and reliability, combining key in-house components with among the best commercial components and instruments to meet the technical and commercial requirements of each application. To maintain design for reliability, QOREX works exclusively with installation partners with the necessary capabilities and experience deploying well monitoring technology and interfacing these systems to a range of well completions. All QOREX systems feature self-diagnostics that is assessed initially upon installation and system commissioning, and updated periodically over the life of the system to track performance and assure quality of data.
QOREX recently introduced high temperature distributed temperature sensor (DTS) systems for harsh environments. DTS technology leverages non-linear optical effects to precisely measure temperature every meter along a sensing fiber, presenting an intrinsically reliable sensing architecture in which the in-well sensor is a passive, quartz-based optical fiber with no moving parts, connected to surface data acquisition electronics. DTS is unique among well logging tools in providing real-time, full wellbore thermal imaging of the well that can be accurately tracked over time to identify and infer a range of well events and parameters to optimize well operations.
The QOREX system, rated to 300°C, combines proprietary sensing components and signal processing that is captured in the HydroLight™ cable solution, that delivers industry-leading data quality and reliability operating in the harshest oil & gas and geothermal well environments. QOREX is the first to warranty its products for hydrogen performance in these challenging applications.
In response to customer requests, QOREX has released DTS product extensions including extreme temperature DTS systems rated to 450°C, and distributed acoustic sensors that can be combined with DTS.
