QOREX was formed in 2007 by seasoned professionals in the fiber optics industrywith a multidisciplinary background coming from senior engineering, marketing, and management positions at leading firms such as Weatherford International and 3M Corporation.  With over 50-years combined fiber optic experience, the past 12 in upstream Oil & Gas system design and installation, including the successful introduction of downhole products in the difficult thermal recovery sector, clients have access to unique team expertise in the development and commercialization of real-world sensing systems serving some of the most challenging applications. QOREX engineering and factory operations are housed in a modern, purpose-built facility with dedicated system integration and calibration laboratories.

 

The name QOREX has its root in Q, which in optical systems represents optical signal-to-noise ratio: a key parameter that drives bit-error rate in optical communication systems, and reach, resolution, and repeatability in optical sensing systems.
